Kickoff: brief, research and site preview

RECEIPT started with a written brief, a fact-check against public sources, and a first preview of this site.

  • Product and technical brief: verification pipeline, daily pool, vesting, anti-abuse and privacy
  • External facts checked against issuer documents, on-chain registries and provider docs
  • Site preview rebuilt in our own codebase and design system

Changed after research

  • New tagline, "You get receipts every day. Earn stocks from them.", because Stock Tokens give price exposure, not shareholder rights
  • Gmail filters list exact sender addresses, never whole domains
  • Outlook forwarding marked unsupported until tested

Feasibility spikes

Before building the product, we test what everything depends on: whether forwarded receipts keep their signature, and whether each brand's Stock Token can be bought safely.

Spikes

  • S1 · DKIM survival: real receipts from registry merchants, forwarded by Gmail filter and as attachments, checked for a valid signature and the signing domain
  • S2 · Registry and liquidity: official issuer, readable price and pool depth for every candidate brand
  • S3 · Inbound mail: receive, verify and log receipts on our own domain, and catch Gmail's forwarding confirmation
  • S4 · First parsers for Apple, Amazon, Starlink, Google and Microsoft receipts
